The Mental Toughness Scale [MTS] is a 12-item scale designed to measure how well an individual can perform in an emotionally stable and consistent manner under stress and pressure. The scale originates from the personality research by Hofstee, de Raad, & Goldberg (1992), and the items are shared in the public domain International Personality Item Pool [IPIP].
